Dive World Scuba West

For over 40 years, the family behind Dive World Scuba has been teaching San Antonio families to scuba dive. Operating since 1978, this PADI Dive Center runs two locations in the city, each built around a training system the shop describes as one of the most modern and progressive scuba programs around — one that has guided multiple generations of divers into the underwater world.

Courses and training

Both locations feature on-premises indoor heated pools, so lessons carry on whatever the weather. Students can practise their skills, try new equipment, and refresh before a diving vacation, and because the classrooms and pools sit on site, classes can start daily. The PADI offerings span Scuba Diving, Mermaid, Snorkelling, and First Aid (EFR).

Facilities include an onsite training pool and classroom, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, and parking. Services cover air fills, nitrox, equipment sales, and rentals of scuba gear, kids' equipment, and scooters (DPV). English is spoken. It's a welcoming fit for San Antonio families and new divers wanting a convenient, all-weather place to learn.
