Diveaway Fiji Ltd

Diveaway Fiji operates from the Coral Coast of Viti Levu, Fiji's main island, running boats from its base at the Fiji Hideaway Resort & Spa with a dive shop at the Outrigger on the Lagoon. A PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with 3 PADI Instructors, this small, friendly team has been exploring Beqa Lagoon since 2003 and keeps groups deliberately small — with no other operators on its sites, there's never a crowd underwater.

Dive sites and marine life

The variety runs from dramatic wall dives and coral-covered reef slopes to adrenalin-charged drift dives. Divers frequently encounter turtles, sharks, eagle rays and barracudas among the tropical reef fish, while soft and hard coral grows prolifically and gorgonian fans host multicoloured crinoids and longnosed hawkfish — a photographer's delight.

Sites are wonderfully close: at Taqage the furthest is 10 minutes by boat and the closest has been clocked at 19 seconds. Courses and activities range from Discover Scuba Diver and Advanced Open Water to Peak Performance Buoyancy and the Beqa Lagoon Shark Feed, suiting complete beginners through to the very experienced.
