Diving Center Sozopol

Founded and owned by Stoyan Stamov, who grew up in Sozopol and earned his first PADI Open Water Certification in Cyprus in 1992, Diving Center Sozopol carries decades of professional experience. Stamov went on to study at a Professional Scuba Diving College in Kelowna, Canada, and spent years working as a Dive Instructor and later Dive Manager for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Today the centre operates as a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with 2 PADI Instructors.

Courses and local diving

Whether you're trying the water for the first time with Discover Scuba Diving (from USD 96) or progressing further, training here is flexible and personal. The centre offers one-on-one and private sessions for families or small groups, alongside courses including the Full Face Mask Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, and PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle Diver.

Local dive sites include the Shipwreck Pioner and Seahorse alley and Lagoon. With an onsite classroom, retail shop, dive boat, and onsite accommodation, plus instruction in English, Bulgarian, and Russian, it suits everyone from curious beginners to certified divers.
