Diving School Marea Ikebukuro

Marea is a leading diving school with stores across the Kanto and Okinawa areas, and its Ikebukuro location in Tokyo has been part of that network since it opened in 1998. As a PADI 5 Star CDC backed by 9 PADI instructors, this is a dive centre built for divers who want serious training close to home in Japan.

Courses and facilities

The centre runs PADI Scuba Diving, PADI Freediving and PADI First Aid (EFR) courses, so newcomers and those building skills alike have a clear path forward. Learning happens on site, with a dedicated training pool and classroom, plus air conditioning, a retail shop, and food and drinks to keep the day comfortable.

Beyond instruction, Marea Ikebukuro offers equipment sales, scuba and freediving gear rental, and a dive club for those who want to keep diving together. Instruction is offered in Japanese, and divers here can look forward to encounters with sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish and more.
