Diving the Crab by Blue Wave Ltd.

Diving the Crab by Blue Wave is a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort set on Diani Beach in Southern Kenya, and one of the country's most established operations — they have been taking people diving since 1985. A team of 6 PADI instructors runs recreational courses and fun dives throughout the day, supported by an onsite training pool, classroom, house reef and dive boat, with English, French and German all spoken.

Courses, dive sites and marine life

The course menu spans the full PADI path, from the Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver from USD 270 and short 3, 4 and 5 Day Dive Packages through to PADI Wreck Diver, Search and Recovery Diver, Divemaster and an Open Water Scuba Instructor Plus package. Local sites include Igloo, MV Alpha Funguo, Kisima Mungu and Galu, where divers encounter turtles, sharks, rays, eels, molluscs, crustaceans, corals and seasonal whale sharks (Nov–Feb).

The center holds a 'Pure Air' certification for the quality of its tank filling, and runs monthly beach clean-ups with the marine centre — a good fit for divers who value well-kept equipment and active conservation.
