East Coast Diving Center

Established in 1977, East Coast Diving Center is a full-service PADI 5 Star Facility in Newark, United States — a friendly home base for divers in the New Jersey area. With four PADI Instructors on staff and an onsite classroom, ECDC is built to take you from your first breath underwater all the way to Advanced.

Courses and what to expect

New divers can ease in with a Fun Dive or Orientation Dive, running about 2 hours and starting from USD 40. Beyond the water, ECDC is an Oceanic, Sherwood, Poseidon and Ocean Reef Sales and Service Center, with air fills, equipment sales, servicing and rental — from BCDs and regulators to 3mm and 7mm wetsuits, drysuits and dive computers in adult and children's sizes.

The center is known for its all-round support, with a retail shop, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, parking and adaptive services on site. English is spoken throughout. It suits beginners looking for a welcoming start and experienced divers wanting reliable gear, fills and training close to home.
