Emperator Diving Center

Established in 1999 at Trou Aux Biches and Grand Baie in the Republic of Mauritius, Emperator Diving Center is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with 8 full-time professional dive leaders. Groups stay small — a maximum of 4 divers to one dive leader — and every guest has a personal basket, shower and changing room, with rinsing tanks and gear hangers just 20 metres from the boat.

Courses and dive sites

Whether you're taking your first breaths underwater or building on existing skills, the centre runs a full PADI programme, from Discover Scuba Diving (from USD 118) and Open Water Diver through to specialities like Wreck Diver and Deep Diver, plus a ReActivate refresher for returning divers. Local sites include Djabeda, Carpenter Reef, the Djabeda Wreck, Lost Anchor and Confetti Bay.

Divers here can encounter sharks, whales, turtles, rays, eels and colourful reef life among the corals. With an onsite training pool, free Wi-Fi, a waterfront location and staff speaking English, French and German, it suits beginners and experienced divers alike.
