Florida Sea Base

Set on a waterfront in Florida Keys-Islamorada, Florida Sea Base is a co-ed facility owned and operated by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Its facilities and programs are open exclusively to registered Scouts and Scouters of the BSA, giving the centre a focused, community-driven feel that sets it apart from a typical dive shop.

Training and courses

As a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort with 30 PADI instructors on hand, the centre is built for learning. An onsite training pool and dedicated classroom support PADI scuba diving and PADI snorkelling instruction, while an in-house dive boat carries divers out to the water. Conservation activities round out the programming for those keen to give back to the marine environment. All instruction is offered in English.

Florida Sea Base suits registered Scouts and Scouters looking to build their diving skills in a structured, well-equipped setting. The centre keeps its doors open seven days a week, from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, making it easy to fit training around a busy programme.
