★ 5 · Blair Anessi · 2010-04-17Just went down to get my 12 year old daughter certified on a referral. They were great with her, great with me, great with my family members. I got to dive with my daughter during her certification dives as a buddy (I'm a dive master in training) and we had a lot of fun as a result. They gave me a tour of the shop, were extremely proud of the business and community they have built up and they should be. They are kind, friendly, and I just can't really say enough positive about them. We chose them because of positive reviews on Trip Advisor and here and it looks like those positives aren't going to stop anytime soon. Thanks go out to Jeff, Carl, and Greg in making it a great time for my daughter and I. One last note, all their rental gear is always brand new ScubaPro equipment, unlike many shops that give you some pretty old stuff to dive on.
★ 5 · Liz Nason · 2010-04-19My boyfriend is a diver and has been hinting for me to get certified. After a year of going to the dive center with him when he bought gear or get tanks filled and getting to know the staff there, I took the 'plunge' and surprised him by getting certified without him knowing. Only two other people were in my class so I got extra attention. I had some anxiety issues (kind of freaked out one day doing skills) and needed 2 extra sessions and they didn't charge me for it. I never felt rushed and the guys were always really professional and patient. The pool training was at the fancy country club in town (Serendipity) and we did our open water at both the springs up north (bad weather) and then in the gulf off Venice Beach. In the end, I surprised my man and we are heading to the Keys when the water warms up!
