Freedive Iceland

Run by a PADI 5 Star Dive Center, Freedive Iceland is a combined scuba and freedive operation that knows the cold, clear waters of Iceland inside out. With a single PADI Instructor at the helm, it offers PADI Scuba Diving, PADI Freediving, PADI Snorkelling and PADI First Aid - EFR, making it a welcoming base whether you're chasing your first breath-hold or building out your scuba skills.

Local dive sites and what to expect

Divers here explore some of Iceland's most distinctive sites, including Silfra, Lake Kleifarvatn, Garður, Davíðsgjá, Óttarstaðavegur and Bjarnagjá. The waters host a varied mix of marine life, from sharks, whales and turtles to ocean fish and freshwater fish. For sea diving when needed, the centre runs a 6.8m Humber Ocean Pro.

The centre is fully equipped for both disciplines, with all recreational scuba gear, tank and weight rentals, air fills, nitrox and a complete range of freedive gear rentals. On-site you'll find a classroom, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop and parking, plus a dive club. English is spoken, making it an easy fit for visiting divers.
