Strýtan Dive Center

Founded in 2010 by Erlendur Bogason, Strýtan Dive Center grew out of a simple realisation: the unique underwater hydrothermal chimneys of Eyjafjörður were the perfect opportunity to build a company around. Since then it has kept expanding, aiming to offer something for everyone who enjoys the water.

Diving in Eyjafjörður

The centre's dive sites include Arnarnesstrýtur, Strýtan, Nesgjá and Litla--Á. Alongside diving, Strýtan has added PADI courses and whalewatching to its offerings, and as a PADI Resort it keeps groups small enough that every diver gets a personal, enjoyable experience with knowledgeable guides.

Caring for nature runs through everything here, from understanding the local marine environment to educating people about it. Guides speak English and Norwegian, making Strýtan a welcoming choice for divers who want a genuinely unique Icelandic underwater experience.
