Great Adventures

Based on the Cairns waterfront at Reef Terminal, Great Adventures runs day trips out to Green Island and the Outer Great Barrier Reef, taking in both pontoon and remote dive sites. It's a set-up that opens the reef to newcomers and certified divers alike, with Discover Scuba and certified diving on offer at Green Island and at the pontoon sites on Moore Reef and Norman Reef.

Boats and dive sites

The dive boat Silverswift ranges further afield to remote reefs at Flynn, Milln, Thetford and Pellowe — well suited to experienced divers, while still catering for introductory Discover Scuba divers. The sailing catamaran Ocean Spirit heads to Michaelmas Cay and also offers Discover Scuba Diving.

A PADI 5 Star Dive Center with 45 PADI Instructors, Great Adventures is a strong fit for first-timers and certified divers wanting a Barrier Reef day out. Staff speak English, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese, and the centre operates seven days a week.
