Based in Los Angeles near the 101 Freeway and the Universal Studios Blvd exit, Hollywood Divers has been welcoming divers since 2001. Open 7 days a week, this PADI Dive Center trains every level of diver and is uniquely well versed in underwater production — each year its team teaches many of the world's top film professionals to dive.

Courses and local diving

With 3 PADI Instructors on hand, the center runs the full pathway: PADI Refresher, Drysuit, Scuba Diver, Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Divemaster. On-site you'll find a classroom, retail shop, air conditioning and parking, plus air fills, Nitrox and mixed gas, equipment sales, and scuba, kids' and freediving rental.

Local trips head out to Catalina, Anacapa Island and Redondo Beach, CA, where the marine life includes sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish. Staff speak English, Spanish and French — a great fit for beginners and career-track divers alike, from first breaths underwater to your underwater future.
