Iowa Scuba & Swim

Iowa Scuba & Swim is a female-owned PADI Dive Center in Waterloo, on a mission to bring scuba to everyone. Its two PADI Instructors teach youth and adults of all ages, from first-time beginners right through to professionals, growing the local diving community one passionate diver at a time.

Courses, community and dive sites

The center offers PADI Scuba Diving and Snorkelling instruction, plus PADI First Aid – EFR, and it continues to expand its course offerings. Classes run from an onsite classroom, with an Adaptive Services Facility, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop and parking on hand. Divers can explore the local Big Blue dive site and encounter marine life ranging from sharks, whales and turtles to freshwater fish.

Beyond training, Iowa Scuba & Swim runs a dive club, conservation activities and travel opportunities to explore the world, alongside air fills, equipment sales, and scuba, kids' and freediving gear rental. English-speaking and open by appointment, it suits new and experienced divers alike looking for a welcoming home base.
