Keep Smiling

At Keep Smiling in Shizuoka, Japan, every program is led by the owner himself — a veteran PADI course director with 36 years of diving experience and 30 years of guiding under his belt. That hands-on approach means you're learning directly from one of the most seasoned instructors in the region, whether you're taking your very first breaths underwater or working toward becoming an instructor yourself.

Courses for every diver

The center teaches the full range, from beginner trial programs right through to instructor training courses, with plenty of experience guiding both children and seniors. First aid training is a specialty too, including CPR, DAN oxygen supply, and AED courses for the general public and instructors alike. The owner is also active in diving search and rescue support, raising instructor standards, and reconstruction efforts in disaster-stricken areas.

On site you'll find a training pool, a classroom, free Wi-Fi, and parking, along with equipment sales and kids' equipment rental. Instruction is offered in Japanese, making Keep Smiling a welcoming choice for learners of all ages and abilities.
