La Casa del Buzo

Founded in 1977 by Mr. Edwin Rivera Colón, La Casa del Buzo is the main institution dedicated to the education and development of diving in Puerto Rico. Based in Fajardo, this PADI 5 Star IDC centre has built its reputation on training, backed by a team of four PADI Instructors who guide divers from their very first breaths underwater through to advanced levels.

Courses and services

The centre runs a full spread of PADI programmes, including Scuba Diving, TecRec, Freediving, Snorkelling, First Aid EFR and Public Safety Diver, so there's a clear path whether you're just starting out or building technical skills. On-site you'll find a classroom, an Adaptive Services Facility, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, parking and a dive boat for heading out along the coast.

Beyond training, La Casa del Buzo handles air fills and nitrox, equipment sales, and rentals covering scuba, kids', freediving and scooter (DPV) gear. A dive club and conservation activities round out the offering, and staff assist in English, Spanish and other languages on request — making it a welcoming base for divers of all levels.
