La Laguna Dive Center

Tucked into Big La Laguna Beach in Puerto Galera, La Laguna Beach Club and Dive Centre is a P.A.D.I. Resort Assoc. registered member and an Instructor Development 5 Star Facility. With five PADI Instructors and a waterfront setting, it pairs up-to-date training materials with a genuine house reef — and more than 25 dive sites sit within a 10-minute boat ride.

Courses and diving

The centre suits everyone from first-timers to seasoned divers. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course (from USD 500, around 3 days), while the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver runs from USD 350 over roughly 2 days. As a Nitrox and Trimix facility, it also supports PADI Specialities including Deep, Wreck, Photo, Multilevel, Drift, Night Navigation and Rebreather.

Nearby dive sites include Manila Channel, Dungon Wall, The Seagrass, Washing Machine, Giant Clam and Small La Laguna, with marine life ranging from sharks and turtles to ocean fish. An onsite training pool, classroom, retail shop and accommodation round things out, and staff speak English, Chinese, Filipino, Swedish and Russian.
