Maritim Divers

Set on the north-west coast of Mauritius at Turtle Bay, the Maritim Diving Centre operates from within the five-star Maritim Resort and Spa. This is a PADI Dive Center, and its team runs confined training sessions in the hotel swimming pool as well as in open water — a natural fit for first-timers and certified divers alike. A pick-up service is offered to divers within 5km of the resort.

Diving in a protected marine park

Turtle Bay sits within the Balaclava-Turtle Bay Marine Park, proclaimed the first marine national park for marine life in 1998. Here, 430 different underwater creatures and 180 different species of coral are protected, and divers can expect encounters with sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish. The dive site at Stella Maru rounds out what the centre is known for.

Safety runs through everything here: equipment is regularly inspected and tested, and team members are trained in Emergency First Response and first aid. As a Scubapro Educational Association member, the centre dives with recent SCUBAPRO gear serviced at least annually. Instruction is offered in English and French.
