In the heart of Puerto Galera, Mermaids Dive Center sits within one of the most biodiverse marine environments on the planet. The waters around Sabang are internationally recognised for exceptional marine life density, making this a base that suits beginner and advanced divers alike. From colourful coral gardens and macro-rich reefs to wreck dives and dramatic underwater landscapes, every dive promises something different — schooling fish, nudibranchs, turtles and reef sharks among them.

Courses and dive sites

As a PADI 5 Star Dive Center with 3 PADI Instructors, Mermaids runs a full range of programs, from Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver to PADI Wreck Diver, Deep Diver, Drift Diver, Enriched Air (Nitrox) and the 30-day Divemaster course. With easy access to over 30 dive sites — including the legendary Shark Cave, one of Sabang's most iconic — there's room to keep building your skills.

Diving here is supported by a house reef, onsite training pool and classroom, with staff working in English, Danish and Filipino.
