Where Divers Connect With the Ocean

The name says it: "moana" is Hawaiian for ocean, and Moana Link is built to link people to it. This Osaka dive centre exists for both camps — divers who already love the water, and anyone still working up the nerve to put their face in it for the first time.

As a PADI Dive Center with 2 PADI Instructors, the shop runs license acquisition courses alongside a broader range of diving courses. What sets it apart is the tour list: drift dives and shark dives, the kind of thing the team says you won't find at other shops, and they've proven very popular with divers.

The waters here turn up sharks, whales and turtles, along with eels and echinoderms, molluscs and crustaceans, ocean fish, corals, anemones and jellyfish, and freshwater fish. There's an onsite classroom with air conditioning, Nitrox, equipment sales and scuba equipment rental. Japanese is the language spoken.
