Native Sea Amami

Native Sea Amami is a PADI Resort dive centre based in Onna, Japan, where PADI scuba diving is at the heart of what it offers. As a recognised PADI operation, it's a natural fit for divers looking to learn the ropes or build on the skills they already have, all from a welcoming island base.

Stay and dive under one roof

What sets this centre apart is that it doubles as the only hotel on the island. A recent renovation has refreshed the entire building, with new wallpaper in every guest room and an updated second-floor corridor that lends the space a real resort feeling. The whole property is non-smoking, with a dedicated smoking area outside on some terraces.

Comfort clearly matters here. Every room is fitted with new bedding, pocket coil mattresses that support the body and ease pressure points, and semi-double duvets 120 cm wide. Free Wi-Fi reaches every guest room, so you stay connected between dives. The centre is open Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 06:30 PM and Saturday from 09:00 AM to 02:00 PM.
