Two very different underwater worlds

From December through March, the center heads out into the Pacific Ocean. The rest of the year, diving continues in the spectacular active volcanic caldera of Lake Ilopango. Here you'll find The Fumarolas, a rare site where hot water gushes from cracks in the lakebed — you can actually hold your hand above them. The lake also hides a mini MUSA: eight larger-than-life religious statues that draw divers from around the world and make for unforgettable selfies.
