Portsmouth Scuba - Home of Diver's Den

Established in 1968, Portsmouth Scuba — Home of Diver's Den is New England's oldest continuously operating PADI dive center and a PADI 5-Star Dive Center based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. With seven PADI instructors on a friendly, highly experienced team, it delivers year-round scuba training, local New England diving, equipment sales and service, and global dive travel.

Courses and who it suits

Training runs from beginner Open Water through professional level, with specialty programs including drysuit, wreck, deep, nitrox, and the signature New England Seal Diver course. New divers can start with PADI Discover Scuba Diving, from USD 125 and lasting roughly 3 hours — making the center a fit for first-time students through technical and expedition divers alike.

Local dive sites include Fort Stark, Duck Island in the Isles of Shoals, Shag Rock, and Nubble Light, where divers may encounter sharks, rays, turtles, ocean and freshwater fish, molluscs and crustaceans, anemones and more. With an onsite classroom, retail shop, waterfront location, dive boat, air fills, full rentals, and an active dive club, it's truly where New England divers call home.
