About ProDive PNG

Established in 1995 and formerly known as "The Dive Centre," PRO Dive PNG is one of the oldest and most prominent dive operators in Papua New Guinea. This PADI 5 Star Dive Center runs trips daily for certified divers, and its experienced staff — including 2 PADI Instructors — have a knack for putting even the most nervous first-timer at ease.

Diving out of Port Moresby

Papua New Guinea sits within the Coral Triangle, and it's been noted that Port Moresby offers the best capital-city diving in the region. Offshore stretches the Papuan Barrier Reef, with steep dropoffs and walls falling into the deep Coral Sea, while the lagoon shelters patch and fringing reefs around the islands — a real variety of marine environments within a short distance of base.

Courses run the full PADI range, from Scuba Diving and Snorkelling to TecRec and EFR First Aid, all using up-to-date training materials. On-site you'll find a classroom, retail shop, free Wi-Fi, parking and a dive boat, plus air fills, equipment sales and rental. English is spoken throughout.

I live in Port Moresby and dive with The Dive Centre most weekends. From the beginning they make you feel welcome and look after you. The marine life in Bootless Bay is abundant and there are a large number of reef sites plus a number of purpose sunk dive wrecks. Their boat is an old copra boat and has plenty of room for up to 20 divers. The dive deck is under cover plus there is a cabin area to keep your belongings dry.The staff are all great and friendly and always point of out any interesting life. They go out diving so long as there is someone that wants to go.I've been here on and off for a while and still go out most weekends as it is still such fun.
