Purple Turtle - Matamanoa

Set within the Matamanoa Island Resort in Fiji's Mamanuca Islands, Purple Turtle - Matamanoa (formerly Deep Blue Diving & Watersports) is a PADI 5 Star dive center sitting inside a marine sanctuary. Ringed by coral reefs alive with marine life, it draws on a selection of 30 dive sites — shallow reefs, pinnacles, wrecks, shark encounters, walls and drop-offs — with depths from 9 to 30 metres. Visibility generally runs between 20 and 40 metres, and water temperatures range from 26°C in winter (July/August) to 31°C in summer (Jan/Feb).

Courses and who it suits

With 3 PADI Instructors on hand, the center offers a full range of PADI Scuba Diving courses and is also a PADI registered Freedive Centre, alongside PADI Snorkelling and EFR First Aid training. Enriched air (Nitrox) is available, making it a strong fit for divers keen to extend their range.

On site you'll find a training pool, classroom, retail shop and house reef, plus a dive boat, air fills and scuba equipment rental. English and one other language are spoken, and the waterfront location matches the same service as its sister store at Denarau Marina.
