Quicksilver Connections

Quicksilver Connections is a 5-star PADI dive centre based in Port Douglas, Queensland, sitting right on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef. Its purpose-built training centre is geared for learning, with a heated dive pool, air-conditioned classrooms and off-road parking — and as a PADI 5 Star IDC with 20 PADI instructors, it keeps student-to-instructor ratios low for a personalised, professional and safe experience.

Courses and diving

The centre runs a full range of PADI courses, from entry-level Open Water certification (learn to scuba dive) through to advanced and professional levels. Certifications are completed in the warm, clear waters of Agincourt Reef, where visibility is excellent and marine life is wonderfully diverse and colourful — think sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, and rays at sites such as Barracuda Bommie and Castle Rock.

Three daily diving opportunities run aboard a quality purpose-built catamaran, with professional instructors alongside to point out reef critters along the way. With staff speaking English, Dutch and German, it suits everyone from first-timers to certified divers looking to dive deeper.
