About Red Sea Aggressor IV

The Red Sea Aggressor IV is a PADI dive boat offering PADI Scuba Diving for guests who want a well-equipped base on the water. English is spoken on board, making it a comfortable fit for English-speaking divers looking to log time beneath the surface with a familiar crew.

Diving and Training

As a PADI operation, the boat centres its programme on PADI Scuba Diving, so it suits both those building their skills and experienced divers keen to keep exploring. Enriched air (Nitrox) is available for divers certified to use it, adding flexibility to your time in the water.

Between dives, practical touches keep things easy: warm-water showers to rinse off after a session, a battery charging station for cameras and gear, and a shelf of fish ID and diving books for anyone wanting to brush up on marine life or plan the next descent. It's a straightforward, dive-focused set-up for travellers who like to keep the emphasis on the diving itself.

The cabin nr 1 was smelly during the last 3 days of the week. It was always water on the bathroom floor. Difficult to get it flushed completely. Aircon had no heating, thereby the cabin was "freezing" if using the aircon to freshen the cabin when the outer temperature was chilly. The divemaster could me pay even more attention to the guests when the visibility in the water was bad. Do not expected that the jacussi was in function at all during the trip. The madrasses on sundeck have seen better days. Overall, the vessel was spacy. Clean. The crew was serviceminded.

Everything about this trip was disorganized, starting with the fact that they didn't know the route we were supposed to sail. We all showed them our reservations to prove that we were supposed to go to BDE. We left port without the kitchen knowing that four guests were vegetarians and one had a serious seafood allergy. What happened to the dietary forms we all filled out before the trip? They couldn't figure out who was on air or nitrox and finally asked the guests to put blue or green caps on their tanks. Until then, no-one knew who was getting what unless you tested your tank. Nitrox was often 28% or 29%. The diving seemed rushed and disorganized. For example every day it was announced, "group one get ready" except we'd never been divided into groups. It made the dive deck a free for all. The guides rushed through the dives when they were in the water. Aggressor boats are supposed to include free photos and a video at the end of the week. Not this Aggressor. Overall the staff was nice, just not organized. Hard to recommend this boat until they get their act together.
