Sand Island Beach and Dive Resort

Sand Island Beach and Dive Resort sits in the heart of the shipwreck and reef diving near Coron, Palawan — a 30-minute speedboat ride from Coron town, with airport transfers arranged on request. This is a PADI Resort with two PADI instructors, set on a quiet stretch of waterfront where reefs and islands lie right out front and no other development crowds the shore.

Diving and courses

An entire WW2 Japanese fleet of shipwrecks is just 15 minutes away by speedboat, with dive sites including Irako, Alcatraz and Akitsushima. Beginners can start with PADI Discover Scuba Diving from USD 102, while the PADI Open Water Diver Course and PADI Advanced Open Water Diver build skills further. The house reef rewards night divers with frogfish, octopi, splendid mandarins, seahorses, cuttlefish, rays and more, and dugongs cruise by regularly.

With a training pool, classroom, house reef, dive boats, free Wi-Fi and equipment rental, it suits both new and experienced divers. Staff speak English and Tagalog, and trips can be tailored to your interests. Island hopping and kayaking round out a peaceful beach-and-diving escape.
