Sea the World Scuba Center

Based in Detroit, Sea the World Scuba Center is a PADI 5 Star IDC facility dedicated to teaching the sport of scuba diving and helping divers grow through advanced and specialty training. With 15 PADI Instructors on staff, it's a place built around education — from your very first breaths underwater to instructor-level development.

Courses and diving

Alongside standard Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses, you can push further with Master Scuba Diver or specialties like Deep, Ice, and Wreck. Local diving centres on White Star Quarry, where divers encounter Sharks, Whales, Turtles, freshwater fish, and more.

The centre is well equipped for learning and diving alike, with an onsite classroom, air conditioning, a retail shop, and parking. Services include air fills, Nitrox, equipment sales, and scuba and travel gear rental. Instruction is offered in English, making it a solid fit for new divers and those continuing their diving education.
