Seaquest Dive Center

Seaquest Dive Center counts among the longest-established scuba diving operators in the Visayas, the central part of the Philippines. Started in 1981 at Panagsama Beach in Moalboal, Cebu, the operation today runs five boats across two bases — Moalboal on Cebu and Alona Beach on Panglao Island, Bohol — all under Belgian management. As a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort with 8 PADI instructors and a team speaking nine languages, it's a centre built for divers at every stage.

Courses and diving

The full PADI training ladder is on offer, from the PADI Scuba Diver and Adventure Diver through Advanced Open Water, Deep Diver, Enriched Air, Rescue Diver and Emergency First Response. A quick ReActivate refresher starts from USD 64 for divers easing back into the water.

Local dive sites range across the islands, including Pamilacan Island, Doljo Point, Alona Beach House Reef, Arco Point, Napaling and Kalipayan, with encounters that can take in sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish. On-site facilities cover a training pool, classroom, house reef, retail shop and free Wi-Fi — well suited to both newcomers learning to dive and experienced divers exploring the Visayas.
