Shikinejima MARINE

Tucked into the waters off Oshima, Japan, Shikinejima MARINE is a PADI Resort dive centre run by staff who know the local sea inside out. They also help visitors explore the island itself and one of its most unusual features — a rare underwater hot spring.

Diving and courses

With a PADI Instructor on hand, the centre offers PADI Scuba Diving and PADI Snorkelling, along with PADI First Aid (EFR) training, making it a friendly base for newcomers and certified divers alike. Out on the water you might encounter sharks, whales, turtles and plenty of ocean fish.

Practical touches round out the experience: air fills, a full range of scuba equipment rental, a dive boat, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. The team operates in Japanese and is open seven days a week, so there's always someone ready to show you the sea around Shikinejima.
