Sindbad Dive Club

Sindbad Dive Club is a warm, welcoming PADI 5★ IDC Dive Resort set on the crystal-clear shores of Aqaba's Marine Park in Jordan. As one of the pioneers of scuba diving in Jordan — and the only dive centre located directly in front of the marine park — it pairs experienced hands with a genuinely fun, easy-going atmosphere. Its four PADI Instructors speak six languages, so divers from all over feel at home.

Courses and the house reef

With 15 courses and activities on offer, there's a clear path for everyone. Newcomers can try PADI Discover Scuba Diving (from USD 50, around 3 hours) or build toward the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. A purpose-built training pool at Berenice Beach Club — complete with a side glass window so friends can cheer you on — makes it an ideal spot to master your skills before heading to the house reef.

Aqaba's protected waters suit both beginners and experienced divers, with excellent visibility, colourful coral gardens and shallow wrecks including a tank, an aeroplane and a 70m+ shipwreck. Keep an eye out for lionfish, blue spotted rays, Napoleon wrasse, seahorses and the rare blue coral.
