Skin-N-Scuba Dive Shop

Welcome to Sam's Skin & Scuba Dive Shop, Kansas City's only 5-Star Instructor Development Center. Veteran owned and operated, this dedicated dive center serves the entire KC metro region — from curious non-divers to expert technical divers, instructors, and first responders — all under one 9,000 square foot roof.

Training and services

As a PADI 5 Star IDC with 26 PADI instructors on staff, the shop offers a full range of instruction, including PADI Scuba Diving, TecRec, Freediving, Snorkelling, and First Aid (EFR) courses. A huge heated indoor pool (92 degrees) allows year-round training, backed by two onsite classrooms and an Adaptive Services Facility.

Beyond the classroom you'll find air fills, Nitrox, Trimix and mixed gas, equipment sales and rental, and a dive club with conservation activities. The center is known for holding Kansas City's largest inventory alongside a state-of-the-art repair facility.

With English and Spanish spoken and nearby diving at Beaver Lake Dive Park, Skin n Scuba suits everyone ready to experience scuba on their own terms.
