Southpoint Divers

Southpoint Divers is Key West's oldest PADI 5 Star Dive Center, sitting in the heart of old town at 610 Front St. In business since 1991, it's still voted the best dive shop in Key West, backed by eight PADI instructors and 19 courses and activities delivered in English. Facilities include an onsite training pool and classroom, a retail shop and a waterfront home base, with diving run from The Phoenix, a 46' Newton custom dive boat licensed for 40 divers but capped at 27 for extra comfort and space.

Wrecks, reef and courses

Key West is home to North America's only living coral reef, part of the world's 3rd largest barrier reef system, and summer days often bring visibility in excess of 100ft. The USNS Vandenberg, Key West's newest artificial reef, lies in 140 feet of water roughly six miles offshore.

Course options range from Discover Scuba Diving to PADI Rescue, Deep and Wreck Diver, plus a dedicated Vandenberg Shipwreck experience, Emergency First Response and half-day trips to sites like Sand Key Lighthouse — suiting first-timers and seasoned wreck divers alike.
