About Spoilsport
Custom built to explore Australia's Coral Sea, Spoilsport is an award-winning operation running dive adventures out of Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef. This 98-foot (30m) yacht is crewed by 12 experienced, friendly, English-speaking staff who make sure divers of every level feel looked after from the moment they step aboard.
Courses and diving
As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort offering PADI Scuba Diving, Spoilsport is a strong choice whether you're training or logging your next dive. Enriched air (Nitrox) is available for those wanting longer bottom times, and there's an onsite training pool to build skills in calm water before heading out to the reef.
The waterfront base comes well equipped, with a retail shop, warm-water showers, a battery charging station, and a shelf of fish ID and diving books to help you plan and identify what you've seen. Beyond the diving, snorkelling around the colourful reefs makes it easy for the whole group to get in the water and enjoy the Coral Sea.

Rooms could have been more climate-controlled (AC kept it quite cool), but a small ding on an overall AMAZING trip. The diving was out of this world...wish I was still down there:)

The open dive deck policy and excellent dive crew made for some amazing self directed diving. The crew as a whole were fun and very helpful. Always willing to have a chat and always offering to help. The dive deck was superb and perfectly designed, the dedicated photo stations and staff help make it a photographers dream. The cabins were small and a bit musty but there isn’t much that can be done about that given the intense schedule and limited downtime. The vessel is showing its age in some ways and the twin hull isn’t always the most comfortable when steaming at top speed but there was always a glass of wine with dinner or plentiful seasickness medication on offer to help. It was an amazing time and I will be diving on the Spoilsport again.
