About Sunset House
On the coast of Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands, Sunset House is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort built around a genuine passion for Caribbean diving. With 12 PADI Instructors, a fleet of 5 custom dive boats and an amazing house reef right on the doorstep, it's a place that suits everyone from first-timers to divers ready to head back underwater after a long break.
Courses and diving at Sunset House
The training menu runs the full PADI path — Discover Scuba Diving for your first breaths underwater, PADI Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, plus the Enriched Air (Nitrox) speciality for safer, longer dives. Returning divers are well looked after too, with Scuba Refresher and ReActivate options and 2-tank morning boat trips. Instruction is offered in English and Spanish.
Local dive sites include the Ex USS Kittiwake, Devil's Grotto and Eagle Ray Rock, with sharks, turtles, whales and ocean fish among the marine life divers can encounter. An onsite training pool, classroom and retail shop round out this welcoming waterfront base.

The power cat dive boats are very good platforms for moderate size groups of divers and always properly staffed with adequate personnel. The hotel and its staff and the hospitality on the property are all also very good. Highly recommended self contained dive resort.

MC and Bazz were especially attentive, not to mention hilarious! Very insightful about the dive site locations and what to expect! These guys all deserve a bonus for the hard work that they do! #DinForTheWin Our hotel room was lovely and our housekeeper was so nice! She made sure we had everything we needed! The staff at the bar and restaurant were also rockstars! The food was terrific!! Special thanks to Caprese for dealing with our large group every night! We will definitely be back! Thanks everyone for making this such a trip to remember!
★ 5 · Steve F. · 2022-09-18Great place for a dive vacation. I liked that each boat dive had a guide underwater. Felt safe and not so easily lost. The rooms were clean & updated. The food at the dive restaurant was excellent & lots of variety. I would definitely go again and recommend to others.
