Taz's Excursions

Taz's Excursions is a service-disabled veteran owned small business set on the Emerald Coast in Destin, USA, where owner Taz has been a PADI professional for over 33 years. As a full-service PADI Dive Center with three PADI instructors, it specialises in smaller groups of up to six divers, so you get real attention on the water.

Guided trips and courses

The centre is known for guided lionfish, spearfishing and wreck dive trips, both near shore and offshore in federal waters — and it's one of the only dive charters holding a federal fishing permit for offshore spearfishing. Training runs across PADI Scuba Diving, TecRec, Freediving, Snorkelling, Conservation and First Aid EFR, backed by an onsite classroom. Trips to the SS United States are coming soon.

The dive boat is a 30ft Pro Sports catamaran reconfigured for divers, powered by two twin Yamaha 250 engines. Facilities include air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, food and drinks, and parking, plus air fills, nitrox, and scuba and kids' equipment rental. Waters here are home to sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, and rays — a fine fit for divers wanting small-group trips in English.
