Texan Scuba @ The Blue Lagoon

Tucked away in the piney woods of Huntsville, Texas, the Blue Lagoon has served Texan divers for over twenty years. Texan Scuba @ The Blue Lagoon makes the most of this freshwater spot, with large open bodies of water, training platforms, sunken boats and miscellaneous items waiting to be explored. Sheltered, gently sloping beaches mean easy water entry, which has made the lagoon a favourite for certified divers and instructors from across the state and beyond.

Training and facilities

As a PADI 5 Star IDC centre with 12 PADI instructors, Texan Scuba is geared up for serious dive education. An onsite air station and full rental gear keep you ready to dive, while primitive camping lets you stay close to the water. Concessions cover the essentials, from hot sandwiches and sodas to water, sport drinks, candy bars and chips.

It's a solid fit for certified divers chasing dive time and for students working through their training. The team operates in English, with the centre open daily from 10:00 AM to 07:00 PM.
