The Shark's Tail Dive Resort

The Shark's Tail Dive Center sits on Malapascua Island in the Philippines, a PADI Dive Resort built around one mission: getting you face to face with the island's famous thresher sharks. Dives at Monad Shoal put you in the path of these elusive deep-water visitors, while nearby reefs, wrecks and macro spots round out the menu. With three PADI instructors, small groups and top-quality equipment, the relaxed, professional vibe suits everyone from first-timers to seasoned divers.

Courses and dive sites

Training runs from the PADI Open Water Diver Course to the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, taught in English and Filipino. Beyond the headline thresher dives, sites include Lapus Lapus, Chocolate Island, Bugtong Bato, Deep Rock, the Dona Marilyn Wreck, Bantigi and the Exotic House Reef — reefs, wrecks and walls where sharks, turtles, whales and ocean fish all make appearances.

An onsite training pool, classroom, retail shop, dive boat, accommodation and a restaurant mean you can dive, dine and unwind without leaving the island.
