Tsunami Scuba

Okinawa has a well-deserved reputation for spectacular diving, and Tsunami SCUBA Centers put it within easy reach. A PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Center dedicated to serving military personnel, Tsunami operates from locations on Camps Foster, Courtney, Hansen, Schwab, and Torii Beach, training thousands of divers each year with a team of 15 PADI instructors.

Courses and what it's known for

Whether you've never breathed underwater or you're chasing advanced certifications, there are classes tailored to your level — from PADI Scuba Diving and Freediving to TecRec, EFR First Aid, Public Safety Diver, and Adaptive Diving. On-site you'll find a classroom, retail shop, air and nitrox fills, equipment sales, repairs, and rentals for adults and kids alike.

The local dive sites are the real draw, including the USS Emmons, Mermaid's Grotto, Toilet Bowl, Sunabe Seawall, Kadena North Steps, and Zamami Island. Divers here encounter sharks, rays, turtles, whales, and abundant ocean fish. Instruction is offered in English, making it an ideal fit for those stationed in Okinawa.
