Tweed Sea Sports

Tucked into Tweed Heads, New South Wales — right on the Queensland border — Tweed Sea Sports is a PADI 5 Star IDC centre that welcomes everyone from first-timers to working pros. With five PADI instructors and courses spanning Beginner to Pro for all ages and skill levels, it's a place that takes you as far down the path as you'd like to go.

Diving the Tweed and southern Gold Coast

The centre runs an excellent dive boat across the vast range of reefs off the southern Gold Coast, plus the famous Cook Island Aquatic Reserve, once known as Turtle Island. Expect exciting drift diving with large schools of pelagics and heaps of fish. At Cook Island, the warm tropical waters of the north meet the cooler temperate waters of the south, creating a marine sanctuary alive with turtles, sharks, rays, eels, molluscs, corals and much more.

Onsite you'll find a classroom, retail shop, house reef, free Wi-Fi, parking and even accommodation, with air fills, Nitrox and full equipment rental on hand. English and Spanish are both spoken, and an Adaptive Services Facility makes diving accessible to more people.
