Wind & Water Charters

Wind & Water Charters is a full-service dive centre in Ketchikan, Alaska, and a PADI 5 Star Dive Center — the kind of shop that handles everything from your first breath underwater to the gear you'll be breathing it through. Four PADI Instructors work out of an onsite classroom, and the operation covers sales, service, instruction and its own hydrostatic cylinder testing facility.

Courses and diving

Training here runs across PADI Scuba Diving, PADI TecRec and PADI First Aid – EFR, so recreational divers and technical divers alike have a pathway. Fills go beyond air to Nitrox, Trimix and mixed gas, which makes the shop a practical base for anyone diving deeper or longer than standard limits allow.

Guided beach dives are available when arranged in advance, with a 2 person minimum. If you arrive without kit, the rental range is broad — drysuits, 7mm wetsuits, BCDs, regulators, dive computers, compasses, cameras and cylinders in aluminium and steel, including large 15L / 100 cu. ft. and small 10L / 71.2 cu. ft. tanks. Freediving equipment rental is offered too. There's a retail shop, parking, and English is spoken.
