YAEYAMA Diving Service Field

YAEYAMA Diving Service Field is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort based on Ishigaki island, Japan, guiding divers across the wider Yaeyama archipelago. As a family-run operation, the team is warm about the fact that first dives make everyone a little nervous — guests and staff alike — and they lean into that honesty to put newcomers at ease.

Courses and diving

With 2 PADI Instructors on hand, the centre runs PADI Scuba Diving and PADI Snorkelling programmes, along with PADI First Aid - EFR training. Nitrox and air fills are available, and a full range of rental equipment means you can travel light. Staff assist in English, Japanese and Korean.

Out on the water from the centre's own dive boat, you may share the sea with sharks, whales and turtles, alongside ocean fish, eels, molluscs and crustaceans. Back on shore there's air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and parking — a comfortable, easygoing base that suits first-timers and returning divers exploring Ishigaki's reefs.
