YELLOW DIVE

Tucked away on Izu Oshima — the island closest to Tokyo — Yellow Dive is a small, personal operation in Shizuoka, Japan. Run by just two people, one diving staff member and one accommodation staff member, this PADI Resort keeps things intimate, with a single PADI Instructor on hand to guide the way. The focus is simple: helping divers make the most of a precious, well-spent vacation.

Diving and marine life

The waters here reward the curious, with sightings that can include sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish. Divers can go beyond the basics too, with Nitrox available and scooter (DPV) rental for those who like to cover more ground beneath the surface. A full range of scuba equipment rental means you can travel light and still be fully kitted out.
