Darwin Island, particularly The Pillars (former Arch), offers unparalleled diving with schooling hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, and large pods of dolphins. From June to November, whale sharks are frequently spotted. The site also features thick schools of skipjack and yellowfin tuna, bigeye jacks, mobula rays, and occasional tiger sharks, marlin, and killer whales. Warm water temperatures and a variety of tropical fish enhance the experience. Wolf Island, another top dive location, is known for its abundant shark sightings, including schooling hammerheads and aggregations of Galapagos sharks. Getting there

Getting to Galapagos The Galapagos Sky departs from San Cristobal Guests fly into Ecuador and take a connecting flight, through Guayaquil or Quito, to San Cristobal in Galapagos. Both Guayaquil and Quito have daily flights to the islands, although Guayaquil is recommended with cheaper prices and better-timed connections. You will need to overnight in Guayaquil or Quito before flying on to the Galapagos. To ensure easy flight connections, a 2-night stop-over is recommended. We also recommend to arrive in Galapagos a day before if possible to avoid any possible delays as a result of volcanic activity Arriving in Galapagos If you arrive to Galápagos (SCY or GPS) prior to the cruise departure date, you must make your way to the main dock in front of the Hotel Casa Blanca on San Cristóbal Island on departure day before noon If you arrive on departure day you will have to pay the Park entrance fee yourself Afterwards you will be met by the dive guides with signs Ecoventura/Galapagos Sky M/V Galápagos Sky departs from main Municipal Dock at Shipwreck Bay in front of the Hotel Casa Blanca on San Cristóbal The trip Guests will board the vessel before 13:00 PM, have lunch and listen to the briefings. The boat arrives to port the penultimate day of the trip in the evening Guests check out from boat around 8/9 am on last day of the trip Transfer back to the San Cristobal airport for flights back to Quito or Guayaquil If you wish to extend your stay in Galapagos to enjoy land tours, please decide that early in the booking process to ensure flight availability Leaving Galapagos On the return leg you will probably need to overnight in Guayaquil or Quito since most international flights depart too early to make the connection possible. The flight from Galapagos arrives in Guayaquil (and then Quito) in the afternoon.  Ideally your onward flight is then on the next day to account for any delays

We had the most incredible time aboard the Galapagos Sky - it had been a dream of ours for years, and the reality surpassed every expectation. It truly was a dream come true. The experience wasn’t just about the breathtaking underwater adventures, but also about the amazing crew who made every moment special. You really feel a connection with them - they’re wonderful, caring, and genuinely passionate about what they do. I’ll miss them deeply - all of them - but especially Natasha, Quike, Moscitto, and José. This will forever be the best trip of my life, and I’m only 31! Of course, the food, the ship’s quality, and the comfortable cabins were all fantastic - but what truly makes this trip unforgettable are the people. Even after decades of working on the Galapagos Sky, they’re still just as excited to dive into the water as you are. Dear Galapagos Sky family, we hope to return for our honeymoon to bring everything full circle. You brought smiles to our faces every single second of the trip. With our warmest regards, Sander and Veronique

The service received on my recent trip has set a bar that will be tough to beat. The boat itself is old, but clean and well appointed. The cabins are small, but neat, clean and all you need. The food was very good, but not amazing. What was amazing was the service around diving, and dive prep. The crew literally dresses you for your dives. It was weird the first few dives, having someone help you put on your wetsuit, boots, gloves, clean your mask and all that goes with getting geared up. Once in the tender, they help with your foot straps, and hand you your camera. When the dive is over, they help you out of your wetsuit, wash them, hang them, and present you with a cup of hot chocolate or tea, and will literally wrap you in a warm towel. The level of attention was wonderful. The divemasters for our trip (Keike and Natasha) were enthusiastic and fun. Their ability to spot wildlife big and small was incredible. I will never forget my diving in the Galapagos islands. The service and the crew of the Sky were outstanding.

My husband and I did a week on the Galapagos Sky starting May 29th and the week surpassed all expectations. The diving, particularly in Wolf and Darwin was incredible - whale sharks, dolphins, hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, eagle rays… the list is endless. What really set the week apart was the crew on the Sky. The service is exceptional and what is so good is that the entire crew are united in providing the best experience possible for the passengers. You literally don’t have to do a thing on the dive deck, there was always a crew member there to help with gear before you realise it. Hot showers after a dive with a warm towel waiting to be wrapped around you as soon as you finish and then a hot drink and snack. We have dived in many places but have never received such amazing service, the crew are there to welcome you back from a dive with smiles and cheers and it always felt so genuine. The crew work so well as a team and nothing was ever too much trouble. Claudia and Salom were fantastic dive masters and Claudia was superb at pointing out underwater sights. The same service was echoed in the dining room - thank you Phillipe for being such a great barman! We did a second week on a different luxury boat tour around the islands and although good, the crew were not in the same league as the Sky crew. I honestly cannot believe that this week will ever be matched both in terms of diving and the superb work ethic of the crew, thank you Galapagos Sky for such an amazing time x
