The Nautilus owned SeeCreatures Dive Centre is located right in the harbour in downtown Cabo San Lucas and is your home away from home. We encourage you to fly in early and allow us to arrange for some local diving. We have. free warm-up dive, which is a great opportunity to refresh some photography skills and get set up properly. You are welcome to drop your bags off and check in whenever it’s most convenient. We ask that you please be at the dive centre by 4 pm for the pre-boarding health check. This trip is predominantly focused on snorkelling and freediving, however, if you would like to dive you will need to bring your own gear. We have full rental gear available and can get you suited and booted. Enjoy a nice evening walk, arriving back at the dive centre by 7 pm for the safety video and boarding the boat at 7:30 pm. Settle into your cabin before enjoying a delicious dinner as we cruise towards the Sea of Cortez.
Days 2-7 - Sea of Cortez & Aerial Support A new Citabria is the perfect plane for this mission, flying as low as an ultralight for enhanced observation, with speed to scout north to Loreto national park and south to Cabo, providing the best coverage. Their pilot and naturalist/observer specialize in finding orcas and are the very best in the business. They have one goal in mind: to maximize your encounters with the animals. You might have heard that the best place to find the mobulas is in the triangle between Espiritu Santo, Carpenter Rock on the west side of Cerralvo, and Las Ventanas on Baja and, well, this might have been true in the days before our spotter aircraft. Their Citabria aircraft working in tandem with The expedition yacht and high-speed RHIB changes the calculus on this completely. They are finding animals like never before and will take you to where a mama blue whale and calf might be waiting for you, or humpback whales, whale sharks, cow nose rays, hundreds of dolphins and hopefully orcas. Be patient, as it might take ten splashes for the mobulas and orcas to allow snorkelers and freedivers into the middle of the pack, but you’ll be rewarded with truly spectacular encounters. Your day might start with a dive or snorkel with typical RHIB missions heading out at 11am after the local Corumuel wind lies down making it easier to critter spot. After a delicious lunch on deck, They’ll head back out on the water in the afternoon. they will keep our support boat running as late as anyone wants up until dusk. You will get plenty of time in the water. Take a break whenever you want and relax on the sundeck with a good book or soaking in the hot tub. they also have kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. In the evening, you’ll have the chance to see the mobula rays in a different light. Literally. There will be the opportunity to go snorkeling at night in a calm, protected bay, where we will suspend lights off the bottom of the boat to attract swarms of mobulas. The mobulas come in to feed on the plankton exposed by the lights, providing a spectacular show against the inky ocean. If you’re a certified diver with your own gear, we can also arrange for you to go night diving.
Wave Goodbye sadly, it's the end of our trip. After a final breakfast, we will disembark the boat in Cabo at 8:30 am. Check-out from the yacht, group transfer to the airport. The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive. • Please Note: This is a sample itinerary and nº of dives, dive sites, etc. may be subject to change due to weather conditions and other unforeseeable factors

If you are arriving on the same day you are boarding, go straight to SeeCreatures Cabo San Lucas. Check in, drop off your luggage, and enjoy the rest of your day. We recommend diving or snorkeling with SeeCreatures. Please return by 4:30pm for your transfer to La Paz. Sea of Cortez trips board and return to La Paz with an included transfer to SeeCreatures Cabo San Lucas, or SJD Airport. We are usually back in port by 8 am. Disembarking by 8:30 am after breakfast. It’s a 2-1/2 hour transfer to SJD. For that reason we recommend booking your outward flight 12:30 pm or later.
Trips meet at SeeCreatures on boarding day. Departing at 4:30 pm for included transfer to embark your ship in La Paz some time after 7 pm.
The itinerary is flexible and based on recent animal activity. Spotter planes and boats monitor orcas daily in the Sea of Cortez, with up to 20 days of sightings historically recorded in July and August. If orcas are present at the trip's start, the focus will be on finding them and other large marine life. Otherwise, the journey will begin with whale sharks in the north, returning to orca searching later. Key highlights include orca searches in the southern Sea of Cortez, diving at Las Animas for hammerhead sharks and sea lions, exploring Loreto National Park for shipwrecks and scenic sites, and visiting Isla San Pedro Martir, known for rich marine biodiversity. The adventure also includes a full day with whale sharks at Bahia de Los Angeles and a sea day with aerial support to locate sperm whales, pilot whales, finback whales, and orcas at prime locations.
8:30 am disembark La Paz after breakfast. Complimentary transfers to SJD or SeeCreatures Cabo. Unfortunately our trip has come to an end and we have to say goodbye, but we hope to see you again soon!

★ 5 · Christopher Kausel · 2021-12-31We had a great time on this trip. The dives were relaxed and organized. The staff was highly motivated to make the experience exceptional. It was our first live aboard and our co-divers told us that the bar has been set high!
★ 5 · Rick Hayden · 2021-01-19Awesome trip! Great crew, accomodations and food and diving is out of this world. DM always seemed to make the next dive better than the previous. Mantas are awesome, dolphins playful and sharks everywhere-silky, whale, Galapagos, white tip, black tip to name a few. Definitely should be on every divers bucket list.
