Plan this trip with AI →Ocean One works the Maldives the way the atolls deserve — long, unhurried safaris with three dives a day and a route list that reads like a tour of the archipelago. Vaavu, Meemu, Thaa, Baa, Ari, Rasdhoo, Noonu, Raa, North and South Malé: the 37-metre boat moves between them chasing the currents that make this diving what it is.
The 13-night Malé–Gan itinerary is the standout, threading the southern Maldives through ocean passes and drop-offs across roughly 33 dives. Tiger, sandbar, whitetip, hammerhead, thresher, spinner and bull sharks all patrol this water. When the light overhead suddenly dims, look up — a manta ray is likely drifting in to a cleaning station. Eagle rays pass in formation, and whale sharks have turned up at night anchorages. Open Water with 15 logged dives gets you aboard.
Between dives, 26 guests spread out across a sun deck, observation deck and jacuzzi. Nitrox is free, the dive deck is shaded with rinse hoses and a separate camera rinse, and cabins are en-suite and air-conditioned. Kayaks, paddleboards, an underwater scooter and fishing trips fill the surface intervals.
The crew will transfer the guests from the airport to the ship. After a nice welcome briefing by the Cruise Director, cabin allocation and ship orientation will take place. Guests can familiarize themselves with the vessel, set up equipment, and get comfortable.
