About Princess Sara

The Princess Sara sails Maldivian waters to some of the most beautiful dive sites in the world, taking in the Male and Ari Atolls. The eight-night Male–Male route works through North Male, North Ari, Baa and Lhaviyani, with three to four dives scheduled each day — night dives included where conditions allow — and roughly 17 dives in total. Open Water certification with a minimum of five logged dives gets you aboard.

Life on board

Built for diving in 2018, this 40-metre yacht carries just 24 guests across 10 cabins, each with a private bathroom and air conditioning. With a crew-to-guest ratio approaching 1:1, the pace on board stays unhurried. The dive deck is shaded, with rinse hoses, DIN adaptors, a camera station and tenders to run you out to the sites. Nitrox is available.

Between dives there's a hot tub on deck, an air-conditioned saloon, a sun deck and an observation deck. A naturalist guide sails with the boat, and a beach BBQ is part of the trip. Non-divers are welcome too — kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, a jet ski and wakeboarding fill the surface hours.

Day 1
Arrival The boat staff will receive and welcome you at the airport. They will guide you to the boat for boarding, where you will be welcomed with refreshments. A general briefing of the boat will be provided on arrival. The boat will set sail to the first dive site in the afternoon, if possible, or at the first light of sunrise the morning after arrival.

Day 2
7: Scheduled 3-4 dives per day, including night dives where possible. Dive Sites: North Male. North Ari. Baa. Lhaviyani.

Day 8
Departure After breakfast, you will go through the check-out procedures, and then you will be taken to the airport for your return flight. Our staff guarantees assistance for the duration of the entire holiday until the last moment of your stay in the Maldives. The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive. Sample itineraries and maps are for illustrative purposes only, and the exact route and sites visited may change based on local regulations, guest experience, weather, and logistics at the Captain’s discretion. Day 1
ARRIVAL: MALE The Princess Sara staff will receive and welcome you at Velanaa International Airport (MLE). They will guide you to the boat for boarding, where you will be welcomed with refreshments. NORTH MALE ATOLL - VAAVU ATOLL: The ‘Check Dive’ or the first dive of the trip starts on the ‘Maagiri’ dive site, which is more of a warm-up for the upcoming amazing dives our guests will get to experience. The Dives points mentioned below are home to plenty of reef fishes and sharks, and an occasional view of rays. Dive 1 – Maagiri Dive 2 – Embudhoo Express Dive 3 – Kandooma/Guraidhoo Dive 4 – Alimatha Night Dive Anchor: Alimatha The last dip of the day will be in ‘Alimatha’, where the boat will anchor for the night and prepare for the next day to start sailing to the next diving stops.
