Courses and facilities

Beginners can ease in through the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience before stepping up to the PADI Open Water Diver course. Practical training takes place in the Hout swimming pool in Alkmaar, where a comfortable water temperature of 30 degrees lets you learn every skill in a relaxed, warm setting. The center also runs its own classroom in Egmond aan den Hoef and its own air filling station, with Nitrox available for those who want it.

Divers explore local sites including Vinkeveense Plas, Toolenburgerplas, Twiske and the Haarlemmermeerse Bos. With instruction offered in English and Dutch, Alfa Dive suits first-timers and seasoned divers alike looking to make the most of the region's freshwater diving.
