&Beyond Benguerra Lodge

A PADI Resort dive centre on Benguerra in Vilankulos, Mozambique, &Beyond Benguerra Lodge is a paradise for both experienced and novice snorkellers and scuba divers. Fully equipped and staffed with a dive instructor, it's set up to help visitors explore the island's pristine, unspoiled reefs.

Reefs and marine life

There are numerous dive venues on offer, including the superb Two-Mile Reef. What stands out most is the sheer unspoiled beauty of these reefs combined with the variety and abundance of marine life. Exotic reef fish abound — schooling banner fish, moorish idols, butterfly fish, blue striped snappers, barred sweetlips, goldies, trigger fish and hosts of others. After snorkelling the reef, you can head to the deserted Pansy Island, a unique breeding ground for the legendary pansy shell.

The centre runs a dive boat and provides air fills, scuba equipment rental and PADI scuba diving, with English spoken. Whether you're taking your first breaths underwater or you're a seasoned diver, it suits anyone keen to enjoy these reefs.
